April 25, 2009 Annual Meeting of PACBA

On April
25, 2009 Polish American Contractors
Builders Association held annual meeting during which
members elected new board of directors as follows:
Les Surowiec - President
Waldemar Czerpak - Vice president
Robert Ignaciuk - Vice president
Andy Mroczkowski - Vice president
Piotr Wyszkowski - Treasurer
Krystyna Hryszko - Secretary
Les Surowiec and Krystyna Hryszko presented
accomplishments and challenges of the past year. Volunteer
work worth hundreds of thousands of dollars devoted
by our members to build the rehabilitation center
for children with disabilities (The Gift from the
Heart Foundation) sticks out of the accomplishments.
Lech Kaczynski, president of Poland, acknowledged
the efforts of PACBA in his thank-you letter. The
Polish American Congress Illinois Division presented
PACBA the Heritage Historic Award for Jamestown Project
– a series of events commemorating the 400th anniversary
of arrival of Poles to the U.S. and contribution of
Polish craftsmen to the survival of the Jamestown
settlement in Virginia.
In spite of financial strain caused by
harsh environment in the construction industry, members
of PACBA remain optimistic and seek new means to enter
markets. We wish all members a prosperous year the
new board effective governing!
